Forbidden Psalm: End Times Edition
6 months ago – Wed, Oct 18, 2023 at 09:01:57 AM

The trumpets sounded, and came forth the definitive edition of Forbidden Psalm: Miniatures Gaming at the End of the World.

Forbidden Psalm: The End Times Edition is the definitive version of Forbidden Psalm. This edition combines both the Core Book and the expansion In the Footsteps of the Mad Wizard into one bursting-at-the-seams edition of the game.

Forbidden Psalm: End Times

So what's new in this edition?

This collected edition brings together content from both the Core Book and the expansion In the Footsteps of the Mad Wizard, with new art, new lore, and more. Can your warband survive the 25 scenarios contained in these blood-soaked pages?

So is this a second edition?

Not really! Think of it more as a DEFINITIVE edition. The core rules have not changed, and if you already own both the Core Book and the expansions you do not need to buy this book. That's right, all previous Forbidden Psalm books are still valid, and can still be used alongside all the content of this Kickstarter.

So if the rules are the same, why a new book?

I have learned so much from the last three years of doing Forbidden Psalm books, and wanted another crack at the Core Book. This edition offers a better design and rules clarifications, and also allowed me to fold the Mad Wizard expansion into the Core Book! Depending on your chosen pledge, this will be a hardcover casebound A5 book or a softcover perfect bound A5 book, with color cover and color interiors. The hardcover will not be printed or available after this Kickstarter. We will keep the softcover in print in perpetuity. The estimated page count is around 180.

The Collection of Death

We've also brought together a ton of the mini-expansions written for Forbidden Psalm into a new collected edition.  This includes:

A Dead Festival 1

Dungeons and Death

Rotten Bits

Forbidden Wilderness

A Dead Festival 2 {first time in print}

Dead Church {first time in print}

And possibly more

That's right, over 20 Scenarios, 20 horrors to flee from, new weapons, and more, all collected into one book!

This will be a softcover A5 perfect bound book. The estimated page count is 80-100 pages.

so go follow along as we go live on Halloween

Announcing Dread Nights available right now!

Announcing Dread Nights available right now!

“Word on the street is that the turn of the century was going to bring about the end of the world. Not that most had time to dwell on such matters, of course—for the bleakness of the world meant that most simply busied themselves with thoughts of where their next meal was going to come from. Most earn their way in the smog producing industries of the city, factories that spew forth black smoke that chokes the air.

But there are other ways to make coin. Hunters, Nightfolk, Silvermen: all names given to those that choose to head out at night, when the ghouls and the beasts come out and hunt. The Nightfolk are the ones that take the fight to the beasts, sometimes successfully, and when they do there is coin to be made in it. Honest work for those with a death wish, a lack of fear, or just desperate enough to do anything.

Are you brave enough to face the Dread Nights?”

Dread Nights is a standalone expansion to the 28mm miniature skirmish game Forbidden Psalm, itself based on and fully compatible with the MÖRK BORG RPG system. Players will create a crew of desperate scoundrels and embark upon one of fourteen ready-made scenarios designed to test players’ skill, cunning, foresight, and luck.

Within the full-color, 128-page book you’ll find:

Rules for building and outfitting your crew of demon-slaying Nightfolk

Random encounters, inclement weather, and infections to ensure no game plays the same

15 fully-statted monsters with unique motivations, keywords, and attacks

Rules for solo and co-operative play

Full conversion rules for both Forbidden Psalm and MÖRK BORG#

And the good news is available right blinking now with a limited edition cover to celebrate the launch!
